In some great news for the Twig Group, our MD Gary Devereaux was awarded top prize in the Business Development & Marketing category at the recent RSK Innovation Awards for his design of the RSK Contact app. Together with contributing innovators Christina Simonds and Tom Jacobson, RSK Contact – a mobile and desktop application enabling internal and external clients to explore RSK Group’s service offering – was recognised for its ability to allow clients to fully understand RSK’s extensive service provision and how these services can be combined to provide a more complete solution.

Designed in response to client demands, RSK Contact provides clients and internal business units a means to quickly and efficiently access a business, expert or service by searching through the entire catalogue of specialisms available within the Group, in consideration of their geography, need, project or task. By doing so, we can deploy the closest solution and focus on the following values, benefits and impacts:

  • Environment – identifying localised resources contributes to our commitment to reducing our environmental impact through carbon emissions and fuel consumption, allowing our vehicles to work smarter, across shorter distances thereby greatly reducing environmental impacts.
  • Safety – safeguarding our friends and colleagues by reducing transit times thereby decreasing the likelihood of fatigue. This enables our teams to be fully alert while they offer high risk services requiring concentration and skill.
  • Social Value – demonstrating our ability to deliver work in the communities we serve against metrics used to determine SV including cost, environment and sustainability.
  • Efficiencies – combining programmes with other RSK business units reduces programme duration and costs.
  • Digital Sustainability –  lessening the impact of the carbon cost of an email by exploring services and directly communicating with the ‘best person’ thereby minimising  the cost of digital footprint.

On receiving his award, Gary – who is also Divisional Operations Director for RSK’s ALPM Division – said “The benefits of RSK Contact are broad, ranging from the simplicity of a recently acquired business unit finding internal connections, to the sharing of relationship and sales opportunities more widely across our Group. It’s our own Yellow Pages, allowing clients to pick and mix our services, driving them to send more opportunities our way through a greater appreciation of our capabilities, which is available at their fingertip or from their pocket.”

RSK Innovation Awards are dedicated to showcasing RSK’s remarkable innovation endeavours, and last week’s London ceremony, hosted by RSK Group CEO Alan Ryder, marked the sixth annual events award.
